Research

Systems work, documented in public.

Edward's publications focus on making Linux environments useful under real constraints. Separate from the papers, EdgeOS is a long-term open-source investigation into Linux userspace compatibility on an independent kernel.

Ongoing research

EdgeOS and the Linux userspace boundary.

EdgeOS is an independently developed Unix-like kernel designed to run Linux userspace through syscall and ABI compatibility rather than using the Linux kernel itself.

The project studies process behavior, filesystems, networking, and the interfaces expected by existing software. It remains experimental. A paper on the kernel is in progress and is not listed as a publication.

Source code is part of the record.

Public repositories show the implementation, its history, and the limits of current work more clearly than a list of technologies can.
